Hi, I’m Jeff
With nearly 8 years in the tech industry—primarily in technical support—I’ve developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and communication. Now, I’m transitioning into software development, where I bring hands-on experience with Python, Go, and SQL. I’m driven by curiosity, a passion for learning, and a desire to build solutions that make an impact. I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.

BOWSR

BOWSR (Bulk Operation Web Services Request) is an API GUI application I created in my previous role to expand the usability and capabilities of an aging service. BOWSR is pure Python, using pyqt6 for the UI and exported to an exe using pyinstaller. BOWSR started as a personal tool, however, I realized the strength of this tool and made it available to my colleagues where it was quickly adopted by multiple teams. BOWSR's productivity increase is nearly exponential with the number of requests being made as it is able to complete any number of requests in the background when it used to have to be done manually, one at a time through a dated and unreliable web UI. BOWSR is safe and easy to use due to the incorporation of timeout retries, various data validation checks, and the principle of least privilege by only exposing necessary data from the API.

Brighter Day

Brighter Day is an application I made for my SO who is a teacher. She gets many messages and testimonials from students, teachers, and parents. Brighter Day is a taskbar-first application that can randomly display these messages and testimonials as Windows notifications. It can also target a message from either an adult or student if she is looking for specific motivation. The taskbar functionality is built in Go, I also created an accompanying UI with Flutter to make it simple to add new messages when she gets them, as well as read the previous message if it was too long for the Windows notification. The data is stored and manipulated as JSON.

Roundabout

Roundabout is a game I created in Godot as part of the Ludum Dare 47 game jam. Ludum Dare is a friendly competition to complete a game (basically) from scratch over a single weekend, lasting 72 hours in total. Each contest has a theme that most participants follow, but is not necessary. The theme for LD47 was “Stuck in a Loop”. I used license free assets for the cars and background music, but created the rest of the assets as well as all logic and functionality from scratch.Roundabout can be played via your browser on itch.io HERE!

Fusion360
I have significant experience with Fusion 360 which I have used to create dozens of 3D models. Most of my 3D modeling has been for functional parts. Anything from fixing broken items, to improving designs, to complete new, custom parts. See some of my work below
